Jamie Baker | Vice Chair

I currently work with several Health and Wellness Coalitions in the NWMO region that aim to prevent youth initiation to nicotine, alcohol and other substances,  promote mental health as well as physical health and make policy, system and environmental changes to support health and wellness.  Previously I served as a Community Policy Specialist in the MO Tobacco Use Prevention Program where I built and supported coalitions in a 38 county region to prevent youth initiation to tobacco, support quit attempts and change policies that eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.  In my years in that role I was part of passing multiple community ordinances, school district policies, worksite policies that protect people from exposure to secondhand smoke.

I was raised in Savannah and am a graduate of Savannah High School and the University of MO-Columbia.  I am married and have 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 2 furbabies. Family is everything to me.  I am very passionate about my community and the people of NWMO. I am one of the founders of the Leadership Savannah program which is in its 10th year of developing and engaging leaders from all walks of life who live or work in Andrew County.
